Nice, prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes, is the capital of the French Riviera. Its Promenade des Anglais runs along the Baie des Anges, and its old town, Castle Hill and the Belle Époque architecture of its seafront are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
