Dali, China
Dali, in north-western Yunnan, is the seat of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, set between the Cangshan mountains and Erhai Lake. Its walled old town and surrounding Bai villages were once the centre of the Nanzhao and Dali kingdoms. This large gallery was photographed in 2026: the Three Pagodas, the village of Xizhou and the tie-dye village of Zhoucheng, the mountains above the lake, the train station and the train to Lijiang, and the Mushan Leye resort hotel.
