Study of Flowers with Leaves – O'Tama Kiyohara – Palazzo dei Normanni, Palermo

Shell ginger (Alpinia zerumbet), bitter melon (Momordica charantia) and peony leaves are studied together on one watercolour sheet. It is one of the works of the Japanese painter O'Tama Kiyohara (1861–1939), wife of the Palermo sculptor Vincenzo Ragusa, shown at the Royal Palace in 2020 from the Palermo museum named after the couple.
