Corsica is shown in detail with its rivers, mountains and towns, from Cape Corse and Bastia to Calvi, L'Île-Rousse and Ajaccio. It belongs to the 53 maps painted on the cupboard doors of the Medici wardrobe for Cosimo I, by the cosmographer Egnazio Danti from 1563 and by Stefano Bonsignori after 1575.
