Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Cambodia
Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world, covering 162 hectares within the ancient capital of Angkor. Built between 1113 and 1150 under King Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu, it was gradually converted to Buddhism from the late 13th century. Its five towers and long bas-relief galleries appear throughout these photos, taken in 2023.
