This small ebony cabinet in the shape of a temple façade has drawers and doors decorated with gilt bronze ornaments and rests on gilded lion feet. Precious cabinets of this kind, made to hold jewels, medals or curiosities, furnished the apartments of the Medici in the Palazzo Vecchio.
