Branch with Flowers and Berries – O'Tama Kiyohara – Palazzo dei Normanni, Palermo

A branch of harlequin glorybower (Clerodendrum trichotomum) bears large leaves, purple-tinged flowers and berries in this watercolour. It is one of the works of the Japanese painter O'Tama Kiyohara (1861–1939), wife of the Palermo sculptor Vincenzo Ragusa, shown at the Royal Palace in 2020 from the Palermo museum named after the couple.
