Austria

Austria is a landlocked country in Central Europe, lying largely in the Eastern Alps and made up of nine federal states. Vienna, on the Danube, is its capital and by far its largest city. The photos in this gallery were taken between 2001 and 2025: Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Bregenz, the Danube towns of Melk and Waidhofen, the Tyrolean ski resorts of Kitzbühel and St. Johann in Tirol, and an Alpine crossing on the route from Milan to Munich.
