Vine with a Bird – O'Tama Kiyohara – Palazzo dei Normanni, Palermo

A swallow flies over long stems of giant reed (Arundo donax), bitter melon and Plectranthus drawn in fine lines across a long horizontal sheet. It is one of the works of the Japanese painter O'Tama Kiyohara (1861–1939), wife of the Palermo sculptor Vincenzo Ragusa, shown at the Royal Palace in 2020 from the Palermo museum named after the couple.
