Beneath a cartouche reading «Posonia», the fresco shows the Danube winding past the town of Pressburg, today Bratislava, with tents in the foreground. It is one of the views of Austrian cities painted in the courtyard in 1565 for the wedding of Francesco de' Medici and Joanna of Austria.
