Two lotus flowers (Nelumbo nucifera) on curving stems are drawn in Indian ink and grey wash as a preparatory drawing. It is one of the works of the Japanese painter O'Tama Kiyohara (1861–1939), wife of the Palermo sculptor Vincenzo Ragusa, shown at the Royal Palace in 2020 from the Palermo museum named after the couple.
