Death, a skeleton on a gaunt horse, gallops through a garden shooting arrows at nobles, prelates and young ladies, while the poor who beg for death are spared. This huge fresco of the mid-15th century was detached from the Palazzo Sclafani in Palermo and is the most famous work of the Palazzo Abatellis.
