A son of Niobe recoils, his cloak flying, as he tries to escape the arrows of Apollo, according to the inscription on its base after the Greek original by Scopas. Part of the Roman Niobe group found in Rome in 1583, displayed in the room built for it under Grand Duke Peter Leopold.
