Saint Matthew and Stories of his Life – Orcagna and Jacopo di Cione – Uffizi Gallery, Florence

A three-sided panel with the standing Saint Matthew and scenes of his calling, his triumph over the magicians, a miracle and his martyrdom. Begun in 1367 by Andrea di Cione, called Orcagna, and finished by his brother Jacopo, it stood on the pillar of the Money-changers' guild in Orsanmichele.
