The curling petals and long stamens of red spider lilies (Lycoris radiata) are painted in delicate watercolour. It is one of the works of the Japanese painter O'Tama Kiyohara (1861–1939), wife of the Palermo sculptor Vincenzo Ragusa, shown at the Royal Palace in 2020 from the Palermo museum named after the couple.
