The palace built from 1490 by Matteo Carnilivari for Francesco Abatellis, harbour master of the Kingdom of Sicily, blends late Gothic and Catalan styles around a courtyard with a two-storey loggia. Restored by Carlo Scarpa in 1953–1954, it houses the Galleria Regionale della Sicilia.
