A tall trumpet-shaped vase with flanges and zoomorphic and geometric decoration stands between two handled pots. Vincenzo Ragusa collected these Japanese bronzes while teaching sculpture in Tokyo from 1876 to 1882; they were lent for the exhibition by the Museo delle Civiltà “Luigi Pigorini” in Rome.
