Orange-yellow California poppies (Eschscholzia californica) mingle with other flowers and fine foliage in this watercolour signed in Italian. It is one of the works of the Japanese painter O'Tama Kiyohara (1861–1939), wife of the Palermo sculptor Vincenzo Ragusa, shown at the Royal Palace in 2020 from the Palermo museum named after the couple.
