Branch with Bellflowers – O'Tama Kiyohara – Palazzo dei Normanni, Palermo

A twining stem of Smilax china with hosta flowers curves across the sheet, painted in pale watercolour. It is one of the works of the Japanese painter O'Tama Kiyohara (1861–1939), wife of the Palermo sculptor Vincenzo Ragusa, shown at the Royal Palace in 2020 from the Palermo museum named after the couple.
