Two rosettes of blue-green aloe (Aloe brevifolia var. depressa) on a long curved stalk are painted in this watercolour signed and dated in Palermo. It is one of the works of the Japanese painter O'Tama Kiyohara (1861–1939), wife of the Palermo sculptor Vincenzo Ragusa, shown at the Royal Palace in 2020 from the Palermo museum named after the couple.
