God the Father holds the crucified Christ, with the dove of the Holy Spirit, in a Gothic gold-ground tabernacle flanked by saints. This image of the Trinity known as the Throne of Grace was painted in Florence in the early 15th century and is in the Vatican Pinacoteca.
