Walls covered with embossed gold, a blue dado and a patterned parquet surround the red velvet throne canopy with its gilded chairs, beneath a large gilded chandelier. Leo von Klenze designed every detail of the royal apartments of the Königsbau, furnished in 1834–1835 and restored to that state after the war.
