Three Acolytes – Arnolfo di Cambio – Bargello Museum, Florence

Three tonsured young clerics stand back to back around a pillar, carrying objects for the Mass such as a censer, an incense boat and a cruet. Arnolfo di Cambio carved them in 1265–1267 as one of the supports of the tomb of Saint Dominic in Bologna, dispersed after the monument was altered.
