Pope Liberius traces the plan of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in the snow that fell miraculously on the Esquiline Hill in August, watched by a crowd, with the Virgin appearing above. Painted in 1573–1575 by the Florentine Mannerist Jacopo Zucchi, it is in the Vatican Pinacoteca.
