Statue of Empress Helena – Roman art – Uffizi Gallery, Florence

A seated woman in a long draped gown, a rare portrait of Helena, mother of the emperor Constantine. The Roman statue was reworked around 320–330 from a 2nd-century model, probably found at Hadrian's Villa and owned by Cardinal Ippolito II d'Este, before standing in the Boboli Gardens.
