Crimson damask walls, Louis XVI furniture, gilded armchairs and portraits under a ceiling painted with Venus and Adonis recreate the room as it might have looked under Duke Peter. The ceiling was painted around 1767 by Francesco Martini and Carlo Zucchi, and the room's black lacquer commode by Jean-Henri Riesener is the museum's most valuable piece of furniture.
