Painted Ceilings of the Corridors – Uffizi Gallery, Florence

The vaults of the Uffizi corridors are covered bay after bay with grotesques: fantastic creatures, garlands, allegories and small landscapes painted in fresco from 1581 onwards by Alessandro Allori and his assistants and continued in the 17th century.
