Between the two wings and beneath two lanterns, the pale tufa front opens onto the courtyard through two arched doors, below a central pediment. Begun in 1539 by Jean Delespine for Péan de Brie around its double-flight staircase, the main building was completed from 1636 by Guillaume de Bautru, then restored from 1894 by Lucien Magne for the La Trémoïlle family.
