The Virgin, in a blue mantle and red gown, holds the standing Child on a window sill, against a gold background. This detached fresco is attributed to Pinturicchio, the Perugian painter who decorated the Borgia Apartments in the Vatican, and is in the Vatican Pinacoteca.
