The Virgin, half-length behind a parapet in a red mantle, holds an open book with the words of the Magnificat, on a gold ground. Painted around 1335–1337 by the Florentine Bernardo Daddi as the centre of a tabernacle with shutters, it is in the Vatican Pinacoteca.
