Garden Façade – Palazzo Corsini, Rome

Seen from the garden between two palms, the ochre rear façade rises above a ground-floor portico with arches and a balustraded terrace, with tall arched windows marking the staircase in the centre. Ferdinando Fuga gave the palace this scenographic front in the mid-18th century, inspired, it is said, by the royal palace of Versailles.
