Canal St Martin, Paris, France

The Canal Saint-Martin runs for 4.5 km between the Bassin de la Villette and the Seine, partly underground below the Place de la Bastille. Its locks, iron footbridges and tree-lined quays are one of the most charming corners of eastern Paris. Photos taken in 2007.
