Dancing Faun – Tribune – Uffizi Gallery, Florence

A young satyr dances on tiptoe, clashing cymbals above his head and pressing a foot-clapper. The ancient marble, displayed in the Tribune, was heavily restored in the 17th century, and the head and arms were long attributed to Michelangelo.
