Christ on the cross rises above a wide landscape, mourned by his mother, a holy woman, the Magdalen and Saint John, all in warm colours. Painted around 1500–1505 by Marco Palmezzano of Forlì, pupil of Melozzo da Forlì, who signed it on a small label at the foot of the cross.
