Crucifixion – Agnolo Gaddi – Uffizi Gallery, Florence

A small panel crowded with figures: the two thieves on their crosses, the Magdalen and Saint John at the foot of the cross, the fainting Virgin and the soldiers casting lots for Christ's robe. Painted around 1390–1396 by Agnolo Gaddi, it was bought for the Uffizi in 1860.
