On a large courtyard paved with terracotta hexagons, in front of the brick and white concrete facade with its brise-soleil and scalloped canopy, stand bronzes by Joan Miró assembled from kettles, chairs, ladders and tins. Miró transformed found objects into strange figures by casting them in bronze, sometimes patinated in green, a playful side of his work much loved by Aimé Maeght.
