Seen from the upper gallery, the white chapel with its tall windows and stucco ornament leads to a high gilded altar framing a painting of the Virgin in glory beneath the Trinity. Duke Maximilian I had the chapel built in 1600–1603; Hans Werl painted the altarpiece in 1601.
