On the shore of the Sea of Galilee, Christ calls the fishermen Peter and Andrew, who kneel before him among a crowd of Florentines in contemporary dress. Domenico Ghirlandaio painted this fresco in 1481–1482 among the stories of Christ on the walls of the Sistine Chapel.
