The Virgin presents the Child to young shepherds bringing a lamb, with Saint Joseph behind them, before a bright Venetian landscape. Painted in 1525–1527 by Bonifazio de' Pitati, called Bonifazio Veronese, it was bought in 1779 from the Walpole collection at Houghton Hall.
