Pale blue walls hung with portraits, a mahogany bookcase and desk, a sofa, biscuit statuettes and a tall tiled stove recreate an interior of around 1800. The room recalls the time when Count Valerian Zubov and his brother Prince Platon Zubov, favourite of Catherine II, owned Rundāle.
