Under a gilded crown, a red velvet canopy embroidered with King Ludwig I's motto "Gerecht und beharrlich" (just and steadfast) shelters the gilded throne, in a white and gold hall with reliefs of classical figures. Ludwig Schwanthaler and his workshop made the reliefs of this throne room, designed by Leo von Klenze.
