Wooden models of throwing engines with long arms, slings and counterweights stand on plinths against a whitewashed wall with a painted frieze, beside illustrated panels. Displayed side by side in the model room, they show the evolution from light traction machines worked by men pulling ropes to engines with a fixed or pivoting counterweight.
