A large mosaic of white tesserae beside the bookshop's glass door shows a floating green figure, a red bird-woman and a couple in blue, with patches of yellow and violet. Marc Chagall designed this mosaic of The Lovers in 1964–1965 for an outside wall of the Maeght Foundation.
