Gallery of Miró Bronzes – Maeght Foundation, Saint-Paul-de-Vence

Small bronzes by Joan Miró stand directly on the curved terracotta tiles in front of the bay windows: a figure with a long head on a base, a cylinder topped by a little head and a hoop with shoe-like forms. Miró, who exhibited with Aimé Maeght from 1948, cast many such sculptures from everyday objects in the 1960s and 1970s.
