Luxor, Egypt

Luxor, the ancient Thebes, is a city in Upper Egypt on the Nile, one of the capitals of ancient Egypt. Often called the world's greatest open-air museum, it includes the temples of Karnak and Luxor on the east bank and, across the river, the Valley of the Kings and the temples of the necropolis.
