Eduardo Arroyo Exhibition – Painted Interiors – Maeght Foundation, Saint-Paul-de-Vence

Flat-coloured paintings show empty rooms with red walls, armchairs and small framed pictures, where an empty white shirt and jacket sit in place of a person, and a green billiard table seen from above with its pieces. Eduardo Arroyo, a leading figure of the Narrative Figuration movement in Paris, liked these stage-like interiors where absence tells the story.
