Green damask walls, gilded consoles and two tiled stoves frame the alcove of the state bed, while ladders and scaffolding stood in the room for the restoration of the ceiling in 2009. Placed at the centre of the palace in the tradition of Versailles, the bedchamber has stoves made around 1740 by the Danzig potter Gottfried Kater.
