A shell-shaped stucco alcove framed by painted trees and garlands shelters a daybed (duchesse brisée) upholstered in blue silk, beside the palace's only stucco stove. Johann Michael Graff's team made the alcove, ceiling and stove in 1768; the room was restored in 1994-1997 and opened in 1998.
