Crimson velvet hangings framed in white and gold surround a throne canopy with a gilded armchair, beneath a crystal chandelier and full-length portraits. Here Elector Karl Albrecht received foreign envoys; François Cuvilliés designed the Ornate Rooms in 1730–1737.
