Abbaye Royale de Fontevraud, France
The Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, near Chinon in Anjou, was founded in 1101 by Robert of Arbrissel and became one of the largest monastic cities in Europe. It holds the tombs of Henry II of England, Eleanor of Aquitaine and Richard the Lionheart. Photos taken in 2017.
